Sorry for not posting last night, I got caught up in making sweet potatoe fries because, well, that's how I am! You've probably figured that out by now. They took forever to make, but I think they're going to be a PERFECT snack. I bought 3 lbs of sweet potatoes, peeled them, and cut them into matchsticks (that's what took so long), tossed them in a little olive oil and garlic salt, put them on a baking sheet and let them go for about 20 minutes at 450. Yum :) And check this out:
BOOM! Another pound :) So that's a total of 4 since Monday. I can already feel the difference and I feel so much better! So going to attempt an apple crisp tonight to celebrate the weekend. Happy dieting!
Yay Ash!!! That is so fantastic. It is so great to see great rewards for your hard work. (I'm not sure how you're supposed to go 9 days without weighing yourself- I'd go crazy). I've been feeling energized as well. It's amazing what a "detox" can do for your body. Just a sidenote of why I particularly like this "diet": I really like the stress on eating healthy rather than counting calories. This phase makes you more cogniscent of what you're eating without leaving you hungry. This is less of a diet and more of a setup to a lifestyle change- hopefully one that includes increasing veggies and fruit, incorporating exercise, and just being more conscious of fatty/calorie dense foods like pizza, wings, beer, etc. Good job getting to Day 5!
ReplyDeleteNo mention of Steve helping cut the match sticks?!?!?! Terrible omission.
